Being professional may seem hard at times and having to be careful what you post and say on social media will effect your professional career. For example, even if you are young and haven't gotten a degree yet, if you post pictures getting drunk every weekend a company may see that and decide to choose another candidate who is more professional outside of work. When you have a job you represent that company, on or off working hours. Creating a professional profile is important when networking and trying to get higher up in the workforce. The approach I took to create my professional profile is similar to how my resume is. You want to sell yourself, because just like every other social media thousands of companies and people are on it daily. Talk about your strengths and where you see yourself. Your professional social media, like LinkedIn is a chance to get interviewed without having someone there to ask you questions. Even with other social media pages it is still important to censor what you post. Also post positive things, as that is what my brand is about. I not want my brand it be represented negatively so it is important to be positive and post motivational sayings and advice.
